Cooling is provided by a glycol cooling unit. This unit cools all necessary tanks and produces ice water for sparging. Depending on the size of the brewery and the customer’s requirements, we can also supply two units. One cools the tanks and the other cools the wort. From a cooling perspective, this is a single-stage steam cycle. The condenser is air-cooled and installed either directly on the frame of the cooling equipment or outside. A plate heat exchanger – evaporator is used to cool the glycol. The glycol is circulated from a pressureless storage tank located on the frame of the equipment by a circulation pump. The refrigerant used is R 404A.
